HÖJSKOLENDK is a modern Danish travelling folk school for young people in the age of 18-30, based on the 250 years old Danish tradition of a folk school.
We have made a specialty of taking young groups abroad for 1-3-months seminars, combining unique travel experiences with personal growth through workshops, teachings and interaction between the local communities and our groups.
We currently have destinations in ‘US Virgin Islands, Hawaii & Mexico’, ‘Australia, New Zealand, Bali & Gili Islands’, ‘India, Nepal, Thailand & Sri Lanka’, ‘Hawaii, Australia, Japan, Bali & Gili Islands’, ‘Costa Rica, Mexico & Colombia’, ‘The Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bali & Gili Islands’ and ‘Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia & Ecuador’.
Furthermore, new destinations are under preparation.
In a unique combination of a strong community feeling, voluntary service, personal challenges, a conscious mind, the importance of relations, responsibility, sustainability and relevant workshops, we wish to inspire our youth to follow and realize their dreams in life.
Our teachings consists of exciting themes like “Teambuilding”, “Personal Growth”, “Communication”, “Voluntary work”, “Cultural Understanding”, “Sport & Adventure”, etc.
HÖJSKOLENDK was founded in 2010, and is owned by Thomas Frese Carlsen, Emil Tøttrup Sørensen and Amadeus Noah Jensen.
Every year we send +300 youngsters abroad and more is coming every year.
